PC Mag came out with their list of
The Best Google Chrome Extensions of 2012 and we couldn't be more happy to see it. Adding any of these extensions to your Google Chrome browser (and at this point, is anybody using anything other than Google Chrome?) will increase your online functionality in a huge way. While the whole article is worth a look, we picked out some of our favorite extensions from the list.
Shopping Assistant
A great extension for users and business website owners,
Shopping Assistant allows the viewer to view competitive prices when you search for one retailer's product. Instead of taking the time to search Google's shopping results for the best price on a product, Shopping Assistant already has the best price information automatically show up every time you search.
While this is a great tool for users, what does this offer online businesses? For starters, keeping prices competitive with major online stores like Ebay and Amazon is imperative to keeping customers. Most business owners don't have the time to track down similar products site to site to weigh in on price modification, so this tool fills a great need to keep companies in the loop on their products. Not only that, but if your prices are competitive, this extension gives you more visibility for you with customers who download it as well, which in turn could help out with your
website's rankings. So, win-win.
Zemanta
Think of
Zemanta as the blogging assistant you've always wanted. Install this extension and it will recommend to you on your blogging dashboard related images, articles, and links on your blog content as you write. This not only cuts down blog research time by hours, but it also keeps your subject matter relevant and up-to-date. This is a must have extension for anybody with limited time to post blogs but still wants a high standard of blog output.
AddThis
AddThis is pretty self explanatory: its adds that. Specifically it adds what you want onto hundreds of social networks and services, as well as adding to your bookmarks. So what makes this better than just doing it yourself? The key to AddThis is that it adds it fast. Instead of getting bogged down by a slow moving browser trying to add an article to 4 social media pages while trying to print it at the same time,
AddThis does it all with the drop of a hat, and without the drop of internet speed. AddThis will even translate it as well.
Thanks for reading. Jason.
