Mobile Mondays
Wouldn't You Like to Remember Just One Password?
Having trouble remembering all your mobile usernames and passwords?
With the numerous lurking threats of viruses, identity theft, and other hacker trickery, keeping your various online accounts and profiles secure has never been more important, and this ties into a necessary evil with which we’re all familiar: passwords.
Does it make your day go any faster to revisit a site to edit your account, make a purchase, or complete any other basic task only to realize you forgot the very login information you created only a short while ago and will need to reset it?
Furthermore, do any of you enjoy having to come up with a nonsensical series of upper and lowercase letters and numbers for each individual account you have?
I didn’t think so, and neither did the creators of this great piece of mobile software ...
LastPass.
Remembering discreet logins is a hassle for even the most detail-oriented people, and recycling the same simplistic password for every one of your accounts or profiles basically gives hackers a free handout.
Fortunately, there are reliable programs like Roboform, which helps me keep each of numerous logins I maintain for my Los Angeles web design projects securely saved, but now that so many of us are completing the bulk of our online communication, business, and commerce with our smartphones, it makes perfect sense that such a program be translated into a mobile application like LastPass.
Essentially, you create one password to access your LastPass account, and it’s the final one you’ll ever need to create.
LastPass, which is compatible with Androids 1.5 and up, is being praised by users and software reviews for its time-saving benefits. It not only securely saves and syncs your passwords with desktop browser plugins, it generates them for you and ensures that you never use the same one twice.
With LastPass, you have the option of browser specific operation, or a more user friendly universal installer that works with Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome.
So lend speed and safety to your mobile logins with LastPass.
You get a free 14-day trial and will then need to upgrade to a Premium version, but it’s only a $1 per month.
Definitely worth looking into I think.
