Tired of Misplacing Your Grocery List? Shape Things Up with ShopShop
What part of preparing for the approaching Thanksgiving holiday could you most easily do without? At the top of many people's lists is the task of grocery shopping, and it's no wonder. Braving the jam-packed parking lots and crowds, navigating aisle after ransacked aisle for the last can of cranberry sauce, and waiting in interminable lines don't make for the most relaxing evening, especially for those of us who work right up until the last minute. Now, I can't relieve you of supermarket duty but what I can do is steer you towards a handy, time-saving app to make this chore a little less painful: ShopShop.
Much like a great deal of pen-and-paper organizational tools, the crumpled, chicken-scratched grocery list that gets repeatedly lost in your handbag or pockets is also going the way of the dodo in favor of efficient digital alternatives. Many people actually find the latter a lot faster and more reliable to use, and having overseen a successful and largely paper-free Los Angeles website design company for the better part of a decade, I don’t blame them. An electronic shopping list like ShopShop lets you edit, share, and save list items for future reference with a few quick taps of your smartphone. You can download ShopShop for free for your iPhone, Android, or iPad. The app opens a yellow screen with a Menu button and a plus sign. To add items to your list, tap the plus sign, which also allows you to specify quantities in ounces, gallons, pounds, etc. As you gather your items, tap each one to cross it off your list with a red line and hit Clear to see a current list of what's still needed.
ShopShop can also remember Recently Added items in the event they need to be purchased again in an upcoming shopping trip; just start typing and it will match it and automatically fill it in. You can share and email lists through the Menu, making this a highly useful app for busy families that need to keep everyone’s grocery requests on the same page. I hope this helps take some of the stress out of your countdown to Turkey Day.
