Why Wonder When Wolfram Alpha Does the Computing for You?
When was the last time you needed to find the answer to a question on the spot? This happens to most of us several times a day, so most the most likely answer is Google, right? Well, think about when you need the answer to a conditional, multi-level question. Entering it into a search engine- even in quotes- will pull up related information and links but finding a precise, whittled-down answer is a little harder. However, features like Siri and apps like Wolfram Alpha are making it much easier to perform research and devise solutions in seconds.
I often explain to my Los Angeles website design clients how setting a brand apart from its competitors is achieved by demonstrating knowledge and experience that is a step ahead of the standard. Finding square roots is one thing, but how about complex derivatives and other math problems that- let's face it- many of us would struggle to complete in our heads? Wolfram Alpha offers highly advanced computational capabilities, earning it praise as "a must for math geeks," but can also find other specifics that can speed up work tasks and even leisure planning. One review brought up the example of how it's easy to find out the projected summer weather forecast for Bali, but how finding out when the next summer's full moons will be to plan your honeymoon takes more digging. Wolfram Alpha delivers this info in seconds. The current 1.3.1 version of Wolfram Alpha is available for $1.99 in the iTunes store and has been credited with fixing technical issues from prior versions like adapting it to slow network connections and making it more iPad keyboard-friendly. It also lets you share your results instantly on Facebook and other social media so your connected users can also view the information you pull up that they are most likely wondering about as well.
