Traffic Tuesdays
Gain Google SEO Momentum with Optimized Youtube Videos
Do You Know How Powerful Videos Can Be for Your Business Reputation and SEO Rankings Too?
The key to building a steady, organic flow of traffic to your company website is knowing how to optimize different types of content whether it’s an image, a local listing, a Facebook page, or in the case of this Traffic Tuesday, a Youtube video.
Perhaps you’ve dismissed the necessity of having a Youtube channel associated with your business because you are skeptical that that many users would have an interest in watching a video about what you do and offer. However, a thoughtfully planned and engaging video that has been optimized and published to drive traffic can have a very positive effect on your SEO campaign and your online visibility to users.
When you doubt the interest potential clients might have in Youtube videos about your company, what you’re really concerned about is they won’t feel like watching just another commercial. The solution to that is to make videos that are informative and entertaining, and that address practical questions and concerns people probably have about your products and services. If you sell baked goods, do a demonstration of how they are prepared.
If you offer specialized legal services, do an interview with an expert in the field. Or if you offer Los Angeles websitedesign like I do, present some of the sites you’ve improved and talk about why their conversion rate benefited from distinct changes you made.
Outline the key points you want to highlight in your video and keep in the two-to-five-minute time frame. Once you’ve recorded, adjust your title, description, and tags to generate some link juice.
For the video’s title, pick a main keyword and try to use it twice in the title. Ex: “Website Design — How to Choose a Website Design Company 101”
Your description will show up on Google, so be sure to include words that will inform it as to what you’re about. Also, you should link back to your site in the beginning of the description.
Ex: "http://www.ladezign.com - In this video, Website Design 101, Jason points out three key features that every e-commerce homepage needs to have. Website design, when optimized for SEO and user interface, can build traffic and boost conversion rates."
Tags should include your main keywords, placing multiple-word terms in quotations.
Now, it goes without saying, share, share, and share again on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, your blog and company site. You can also look up your keywords on Youtube, and post your own video as a Video Reply. In just 100 views, your video will start showing up on Google. Hit record and watch how fast that happens.
